This is a great gun I fitted it with a Vortex duel color scope for target practice and it fires straight out the box. It did need gun oil to function better but other than that great.

It’s a Model 70 Super Grade and should be perfect in all aspects, especially with the machining capabilities available today. Mine has a magazine floor plate with about 3/32″ space between the plate and the receiver. A bit disappointing considering the price of these rifles. Not MidwayUSA’s fault as they didn’t build the gun and they had a great price, but you may want to shop some place where you can eyeball the gun first. I wanted a new one where I’m the guy breaking in the barrel as I see fit versus a used one from a gun shop which wasn’t even cleaned after firing. Floor plate fit? The one on my WW II Arisaka fits better. The rest of the rifle is beautiful. Great bluing and beautiful walnut. Love the ebony forend but I’m thinking it’s a synthetic material and not ebony wood.

I have fired about 100 rounds through this rifle so far. I purchased some optics and 30 rd clips directly from BCA. Took me a while to zero it in but at 50 to 100 yards my groups are 1-2 inches apart with 62 grain 556 ammo. Seems like a good rifle so far. I have fired a variety of AR rifles and for the price this one is right up there in quality and performance. I’d buy it again. We’ll see how it holds up over time.

It shoots like a dream no problems and there is a little recoil to it.
