This is a slightly altered version of Winchesters pre-64 model 70. It is a good rifle that matches or exceeds anything else on the market in function, reliability and durability. “Pretty” does not count to an experienced shooter. It is, however, attractive. The fit is acceptable and the finish excellent. Accuracy has several components. Anyone not getting groups they like with this rifle should look first to the ammunition, sighting system or the finger pulling the trigger, not the weapon.

I have fired about 100 rounds through this rifle so far. I purchased some optics and 30 rd clips directly from BCA. Took me a while to zero it in but at 50 to 100 yards my groups are 1-2 inches apart with 62 grain 556 ammo. Seems like a good rifle so far. I have fired a variety of AR rifles and for the price this one is right up there in quality and performance. I’d buy it again. We’ll see how it holds up over time.

I bought this in 7.62×39 mostly to shoot cheaper ammo. It seems to be well made for the money. As of now I have only been able to get Tula steel case ammo and it will not shoot these. About 75 to 80% fail to fire!! I have ordered an enhanced firing pin and hopefully this will solve my issue. I will update later.
